Mother's Day Weekend

Since Davis' birthday falls in the summer, his super sweet teacher threw a 'pretend' birthday party for him in class on Friday.  Boogs and I brought in his favorite cookies to share with the class and everyone sang 'happy birthday' to him.  He brought home the cutest Mother's Day picture that afternoon.

Friday night was Davis' first tournament game.  The team won, but Davis played TERRIBLE!  He couldn't even hit the ball off the 'T', let alone the coach's pitches.  He cried the entire time and didn't pay any attention in the outfield.  It was upsetting, to say the least.

On Saturday, though, his next game went amazing!  He had three balls hit towards him in the outfield and he quickly ran for them and threw them to the appropriate teammate.  He scored and had 2 RBI's.  He even got to run two bases in one play, which was a first!  And, because of all that great playing, he earned the game ball!  After the game, we headed to my mom's to meet up with everone for the Zac Brown concert.  What. A. Blast!  I love spending fun times with my family like that.

...and...the aftermath...

On Mother's Day, I slept in and woke up to Justin and the kids bringing me presents and a sweet card. Justin took Davis shopping for me and he picked out a a huge case of tennis balls and a purple tennis shirt. Random, but so sweet. The boys went to the grocery store and got stuff to make chocolate chip pancackes with whipped cream and strawberries and bacon. It was delicious. We all laid around the house all day and listened to the rain outside.

Yesterday, Boogs and I had lunch with Davis.  He was so pumped to have us there with him.
