Justin and I were awarded a much needed night out on Friday. My mom and Jay kept Davis and we took FULL advantage. Going to 'The Place' twice in one month probably takes away from my character a little bit, but it's just so much fun...the people watching...the mirror next to the dance floor...more people watching...irresistible!!!

Saturday consisted of lots and lots of laying around. Even little boys are lazy on rainy days...

We did, however, catch Davis splashing around in the toilet. Does that mean it's time to start potty training???
Our tennis team only took one line yesterday, but the competition was really tough...that's totally something a loser would say, right?!?
Davis flooded the bathroom during his bath yesterday. I left the room for less than 10 seconds to get dinner out of the oven and, in that time, he managed to fill his cup with water (it's a really big cup) and pour it onto the floor...like 100 times. Water was seeping into the hallway. It was bad.

Davis has a new passion..."Moe-yigh's"

Who can guess what it is???

Hint: Something a mother NEVER wants her kids to be interested in!

We all went to the gym last night and Davis took a nose dive (literally) off of one of the toys (it's the blue dumbbell on the left). The girls said he didn't even cry, but his nose is pretty beat up. She said, "The older kids were jumping off of it and Davis crawled right up there and tried to do it too." Ummm...wow.

THIS is True Love...(This is also pre-nose injury.)

Some of my new knits...
Bow Tie Headbands

Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons

Premature Birth Awareness Ribbons

Flower hair ties and clips

We got Doc back last night and he's a whole new puppy! Acworth Animal Hospital is definitely the way to go! They did such a great job on his teeth, removed the tumor from above his eye, and even clipped his nails for a mere $200.00! And that also includes his antibiotics (for an infection they found in his mouth), the eye cream, and stitches removal! And he could have had a free overnight stay, but I missed him way too much for all that.

Davis has been stuttering a lot now that his verbal skills have improved so much. His Speech Pathologist calls it 'developmental stuttering'. His brain is trying to spit words out faster than he can say them. "I, I, I, I, I, I want ball." Or "My, My, My, My, My turn."

My tennis team took all 5 lines on Sunday! Gooooo Hobgood!!!

We dropped Doc off at the vet this morning to have his teeth cleaned. I explained to the vet that money is tight for us right now and that I didn't want her performing any extra services unless they were absolutely necessary. I could just hear the post-op conversation now....'Yeah, we decided to draw some blood ($$$) and do a little teeth whitening ($$$) and turn him into a cat ($$$) raising your quoted dental cost to $56,685.99.' She sympathetically understood...

Davis cried when I told him to tell Doc 'bye bye'!!!

I don't think 3 minutes went by before my phone rang..."Hi, this is Dr. 'So and So'. I noticed the large tumor over his right eye (it's really about the size of a pencil tip) and wanted to discuss having that removed while he's already under anesthesia. You see, Boxers are known for developing tumors and I can tell that it's already grown deep into his eye. It's rubbing his cornea every time he blinks and that's going to cause very painful ulcers. It's only going to get larger and larger. The cost of this procedure is $108 on top of your dental fees. Ok?"

Me: "Ummm, that's probably a little out of our price range. Let me call my husband."

Husband: "You tell her that we'll do it for $75. Otherwise, no. I'm sure I could slice that thing right off with my Uncle Henry."...That seriously came out of his mouth...

Me: "I don't wanna call her back. You do it."

So...we get it figured out...and the vet promises she'll keep it under $75 for us...

Love is in the air....This is the second day in a row that I've gone to pick Davis up from school and seen him cuddled up next to one of his classmates. On Tuesday, they were sitting on the floor playing with a plastic phone. Davis' love interest had her arm wrapped around his head, holding the phone up to his ear. Today, when I walked up, they were sharing a plastic apple. So romantic. Is it already time for the 'birds and bees' conversation?

The teacher said that Davis actively participated in 'Ring Around the Rosie' today. They just had to hold his hands, but he walked around with everyone! Usually, one of the teachers holds him...or maybe Little Miss Girlfriend does.

Well, we lost last night...womp, womp, womp. Buuuuuuutttttt...I had so much fun! Why haven't I been playing tennis all my life?!?! It was such a close game, but once we went into the tie breakers, I just lost focus. I thought I played really well for my first match ever. And that's all I expected out of myself. I was shaking with nerves the entire time, but having my teammates and friends there to support Nicole and I meant a lot! I can't wait for Sunday!

It's so funny how serious these women take the game...even at our level. One of our opponents was getting so mad at Justin for shouting out calls...go figure. But he didn't know any better. She nearly went into convulsions when our captain's boyfriend came over to help us figure out the tie breaker rules. I had to laugh at that one. But, of course, I was the one cussing and stomping around whenever I made an error. Ahhhh...I love being competitive!

I was cleaning the TV the other day and noticed this...

It's a Looney Tunes DVD. I don't know how in the world Davis managed to get that shoved in there because I had the hardest time yanking it out. I wonder what else is stuck in the TV, never to be found...
Elle, Brother's girlfriend, and I went to a cycling class at the gym last night. Just to draw you a mental picture...it's the most miserable, painful, difficult hour of my life. I struggle to stay conscious the entire time and try to come up with clever excuses to dip out...I know, I know...But I've never actually experienced child birth, so there. Afterwards, we head to the kiddie room to pick up Davis. Like always, the young girls in there are like, "We just love him. He's so sweet and cute. He took his pants off in the middle of the room." How nice. Next up...Mellow Mushroom...just to cancel out everything we worked so hard for. My hound-like sense of smell let me know that Davis pooped on the way there, but nothing could have prepared me for what was actually in his pants...and all over his back...and on his shirt...and jeans. It was sooooo bad. Poor Elle witnessed the whole thing...Good birth control for her.

Davis is Mr. Chatter Box these days. He just talks and talks and talks. It's crazy how much your child ages once they start communicating. He's seems so grown up to me now. He and Justin were reading Winnie the Pooh books over the weekend..."Owl wimmin" and "Roo seepy nigh nigh"....This is Davis talking, not Justin...just so we're on the same page. And instead of saying 'Juice' or 'Hot Gog' (not a typo) or 'Da' (for his blanket), he says, "I want juice and hot gog and da." Little baby steps, but we're getting there.

I've been so moved by everyone's donations for the March of Dimes Walk. It's so heartwarming to know that, even during these tough economic times, people still want to open their hearts for such a wonderful cause. I can't wait for Davis to get old enough to understand just how much love surrounds him and how many lives he's positively touched.
Of course, Easter came early for Davis. Guess from who? Hint: It starts with a 'Pa' and ends with a 'You spoil him so much'...
Lovin' him a little York...
My tennis match has been rescheduled for tonight! Wish me luck!

It's looks like Davis is going to have to get a haircut like Dadda's. I bet my Dad sabotaged the poll by voting for it 10 times just to keep the Mohawk from winning!

What a beautiful weekend! We've been outside almost the whole time...

Davis started using his walker, own his own accord, for the first time on Friday. Since then, we've been all over the yard! This is such a long time coming!
Playing fetch with Doc...
Shootin' hoops...

Fell straight back on the driveway...
Regrouped, changed clothes, went back at it...

Glamour Shots...
Such a star...

THIS IS GONNA BE THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
