I got a call from Justin on Sunday evening. He was down at the shop getting things prepped for the work week. "We don't want a cat, do we?" I reply with, "No. Who's getting rid of one?" He tells me that he found a tiny kitten under the shop, describes to me what it looks like, and ends with 'it's really cute'.
When he and I went back down there later that night, we couldn't find it. Justin even crawled through the bottom of the building, looking. He's an animal, himself. :)
On Monday, after I laid Reese down for a nap, I headed down there and found this sweet baby sleeping on some 2 x 4's.
I brought it back up to the house, but quickly took it back, once I thought of its poor mother missing her baby. (Even though we have yet to spot a cat.)
I checked on it throughout the day and even bottle fed it some milk. By the way, if there was any baby itch living inside me, it totally got scratched!
After Davis' game last night, we walked back down there and brought it to the house. I was up all night, worrying about this little guy. It can't be more than 2 weeks old and I know it needs constant care right now. i.e. q-tip stimulation at its privates to make it use the bathroom since Mom's not around to lick it.
I posted an ad on Facebook and immediately got a response. Its going to a home where really experienced animal people live and I know it'll be well taken care of. But it'll definitely be missed around here!

Spring Break And Easter
Too late for this post? Don't care.
Monday: Played outside with the kiddos all day. Justin took Davis down to Eva's to play after he got home from work.
Tuesday: My girlfriend, Crystalle, brought Jake (and her precious newborn, Lily) over to play with Davis for a couple hours. That evening, I took the kids to my mom's for dinner and helped her spray off her patio furniture since they're moving back into their condo this week.
Wednesday: Ran errands. Chilled out (which really just means 'the kids made huge messes all over the house for me to clean up). Went to therapy.
Thursday: Justin's dad, Pow Pow, hung out at the house all day. Him and Davisworked goofed off outside for a while. Went to therapy. Pow Pow took Davis to his house for the night.
Friday: Pow Pow and Davis went to his property in the mountains to fish all day while Boogs and I went shopping.
Saturday: Yard work. House cleaning. Impromptu egg hunt in the backyard with the neighbors. Naps. Park. Grocery store. More napping. Then, we cooked hot dogs and 'smores by the fire in the backyard with the Greens, Prices, and Styles Family. I was such a blast chatting with the girls and watching the swarm of kids run around. Tux even hung out! I was so proud that he didn't run off or hate being around so much chaos.
Sunday: Davis woke up super pumped. He immediately started running around the house, looking for whatever the Easter Bunny left him. Boogs, naturally, lolly-gagged behind. We went to my parents' condo later that day for pool time, delicious food (duh), an egg hunt, and water gun fight on the balcony.
